Rules & Terms
- Game Format
- This quiz has only 1 stage which require approximately 45 mins to complete.
- There are a total of 28 questions with 7 questions in 4 categories.
- The 4 categories are T20, One Day and 2 Test Innings respectively.
- The questions are presented in an increasing order of difficulty.
- Initially only 1 question for each of 4 categories is available.
- Once a question is answered correctly, next question of that category will become available.
- If stuck at a question, skip feature can be used to access next question.
- Scoring
- The 7 questions in each category are in increasing level of difficulty.
- The Max Reward Points (R) for each level are 50, 50, 50, 50, 100, 100, & 100 respectively.
- Rules for multiple choice questions:
- Maximum of 2 attempts for each question
- Each wrong attempt will incur a penalty of 4%*
- No hints are available for multiple choice questions
- Skipping a question will incur a penalty of 10%*
- Rules for text input questions (last 4 questions):
- Unlimited attempts for each question
- Upto 3 free attempts allowed, after which there is penalty of 5%* on every wrong attempt
- 2 hints are available per question
- Usage of each hint will incur a penalty of depending on type of hint taken*
- Skipping a question will incur a penalty of 10%*
- Total points will be computed by adding/subtracting the points gained or points lost on every question. The participant will be ranked in order of the total score.
*Note: These percentages refer to the percentages for Max Reward Points of the corresponding question.
Formula used for calculating
For the mathematically inclined:
P (Points earned) = R (Max Reward Roints) - 0.1R (if skipped) -(5 or 10 : depending on type of hint taken) (for every hint used) - 0.04xNxR (if applicable, where N = no. of incorrect attempts))

- In case of a tie in the total score, participant who took lesser time to answer will be ranked higher. Total time taken for only the correct entries will be calculated.
Terms & Conditions
- Each participant should play the TheIQuest with ONLY ONE registered user account. If a user is found using multiple accounts he/she will be disqualified and any prizes won by that account will be revoked.
- Decision of the TheIQuest team will be final for each question/answer and the winner.
- The answers and logic of all questions will be shared after the event is over.
